UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON ONLINE
Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF)
is a growing initiative to offer adult religious education and
faith formation anytime and anywhere via the internet. The goal
is to support the church's professional ministry of religious
education and faith formation in cyberspace.
These courses
are an excellent way for parish and
school catechists to obtain certifica-
tion, and for all adults to learn more
about the Catholic faith. Each course
has 12-14 participants and more than 40 dioceses are
part-
ners with the
University of
Dayton. Some of the courses
offered include: “Catholic Beliefs,” “Introduction to
Scrip-
ture,” “Sacraments,” “Images of Jesus,” and many more
top-
ics for learning about the Catholic faith in your own
home.
Plan now to participate. The cost for each course is
$40.

DID YOU
KNOW?????
Albert Einstein once said, "There are two ways to live your
life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as
though everything is a miracle." Every child is a miracle and
a gift from God-choose life, not abortion.
The Catholic Church teaches life begins at conception?
Scientists say life begins at conception, but the U.S. Supreme Court
says you can kill the babies from conception up to the time the child is born.
BEADS
OF PEACE
St. Margaret Catholic Church (Riverton, Wyoming) has once again asked
for our used and broken wire Rosaries that they may repair them and
donate them to overseas missions, US armed forces, prison ministries,
health-care facilities, and other activities where they are
needed. It doesn't matter what shape they are in: used, new or
broken, they are able to repair most because they have accumulated a
good store of spare parts retrieved from "inseparables".
A refurbished Rosary becomes a wonderful tribute to the original owner
and a comfort to someone, somewhere, as part of God's ultimate
plan. A container will be placed in the back of church to drop
your Rosary if you wish to donate.
VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED IN THE COMMUNITY
The United Way of Bay County is looking for volunteers to make a
difference in their community. Many opportunities await.
Please contact Cindy Miller at the Volunteer Resource Center 893-6060.
HOME VISITS & COMMUNION CALLS
St. Mary has in her parish people who take the Holy Eucharist to
Home Bound and Nursing Homes. These people will also take the Holy
Eucharist to anyone who is unable to make it to Mass due to surgery, etc.
Or, if you would just like someone to visit for a short time, they will do this
also. Please call the office at 879-5596 if you would like them to contact
you.
FUNERAL LUNCHEONS
As a parish Christian family we are called to serve one another in
their time of need. But due to the poor response from parish members when
food for funerals is needed we will begin calling parish family members A to Z
when a need arises. This does not mean that you need to get a call to
contribute, please contribute any time. These funeral donations are
very important to our suffering families.
